Position description

Leverage expertise in operational, tactical, and technical work to support Air Force equities associated with the export of fighter aircraft and all associated subsystems and weaponry. Maintain responsibility for the full range of USAF and partner air force fighter aircraft systems and their tactical and operational employment in peacetime training and contingency operations. Support the development of USAF export and foreign disclosure guidance for USAF systems and associated tactics. Research and make recommendations for policies based on political-military, weapons system technology and capabilities, fighter tactics, training, operations, and security considerations. Coordinate with industry, systems groups, DoD, DoS, and HAF agencies to facilitate the export of interoperable systems to allies and partners. Provide subject matter expertise to US government officials during USAF official review of export license requests from industry.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience as a pilot or weapons systems operator on 4th or 5th generation fighter platforms, including the F-16, F-15, F-22, F-35, F-18, or A-10

-Experience with 500+ flying hours in one or a combination of the following fighter and attack aircraft: F-16, F-15, F-22, F-35, F-18, or A-10

-Experience in working with foreign militaries

-Knowledge of security cooperation, international affairs, security assistance, and foreign military sales, including processes, legislation, and players and the USAF’s roles and missions

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with flying or having actively flown in an aircraft, including the F-16, F-15, F-22, F-35, F-18, or A-10 or other fighter and attack aircraft and and assignment to a flying billet in the same, such as active, guard, or reserve billets preferred

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software applications, including using them in day-to-day researching, writing, coordinating, and revising of communications materials, such as briefings and talking points

-Knowledge of USAF Handbook 33-337, Tongue and Quill

-Ability to read, write, and communicate professionally and effectively across the civilian and military spectrum from the Action Officer to the General Officer and Flag Officer

-Graduate of the USAF Weapons Instructor Course or Navy Top Gun program
