Position description

Historic England - We are the public body that looks after England`s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people to understand, value and care for them. This is an exciting time to join us in this newly created post. As well as the opportunity to work with a wide variety of historic places across England, we offer a wide benefits package including a competitive pension scheme, a generous 28 days holiday, corporate discounts, free entry into English Heritage sites across the county and development opportunities to ensure you achieve your goals. Having just won the Gold Award from MIND, we also recognise the importance of a healthy work -life balance. Therefore, we offer the flexibility in your working day to create a pattern that works for you.

This is your perfect opportunity to make a difference to our historic environment and ensure it is preserved so that it can be enjoyed for generations to come as you work closely with the Head of International Affairs and Head of World Heritage to provide full administrative support, ensuring that all aspects of Historic England`s international work are effectively delivered as we work towards our goal of enhancing Historic England`s standing, both internationally and with it that of the UK. You will also have the opportunity to provide administrative support on wider strategic issues in response to changing international, national organisational and department priorities.

If you are an adaptable individual with demonstrable abilities to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines, this is the role for you.
Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels, will be an asset to you as you work closely within the team to support your colleagues in the development of Historic England`s work on Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Interviews will take place on 26th & 27th February in our Cannon Bridge House offices, in the vibrant city of London.

We are an equal opportunity employer which values diversity and inclusion. If you have a disability, we would be happy to discuss reasonable adjustments to the job with you. We very much look forward to receiving your application.
