Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Regional Director, West Africa.  Samaritan's Purse has a variety of programs and projects in West Africa serving a region that has been riddled with war, disease, famine and disaster. As a Regional Director, you will provide support in hiring employees, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving problems. You will be given the opportunity to:

  • Travel to field for assessing needs, Samaritan's Purse field activities, and other work funded by Samaritan's Purse
  • Build effective teams in Country offices to fulfill the mission statement of Samaritan’s Purse
  • Develop partners to adequately respond to critical needs in the Region
  • Provide a direct interface for field staff and partners on behalf of the Projects Department ​
  • Ensure field reporting is received in proper format and on time
  • Review, approve, or challenge all regular monthly field financial reporting

 

We ask that you bring:

  • A strong, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or 5-7 years of related experience and/or training
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of international affairs, foreign policy and fundamental political frameworks within each country of oversight
  • Understanding of socioeconomic, cultural, religious and political conditions within assigned region
  • Working knowledge of and familiarity working in partnership with USAID and other governmental and non-governmental organizations
  • Ability to supervise others
  • High degree of diplomacy and cultural sensitivity
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
