Position description

You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist performing standard intelligence analysis and production tasks relative to the political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical, or military issues in the Area of Responsibility for the Cyber Protection Team of U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND.

Responsibilities

  • You will use verbal and written communication techniques to prepare and present briefings on assigned area for senior level DoD and USMC officials.
  • You will participate in DoD and Service level wargames.
  • You will provide intelligence products to support the USMC in its Title X function.
  • You will attend service level, national and international working groups and meetings in support of USMC missions.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area (46) and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GG/GS-09 level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties such as:

1) Participating in analyzing and evaluating information in preparation for defense against potential cyber intrusions;
2) Processing all-source material and produce pertinent intelligence in an assigned area to meet U.S. government needs;
3) Reviewing intelligence products prepared by other government agencies or other elements of assigned activity for technical accuracy and logical treatment and interpretation of information.
