Position description

The KonTerra Group is currently accepting expressions of interest from individuals who are available on a full time basis through September 30, 2021 to serve as an Organizational Resilience Advisor for USAID. The applicant must be located in the DMV area. Experience in design, production and facilitation of group activities virtually is a plus. USAID Staff Care Program

US Agency for International Development (USAID) contracts with The KonTerra Group to provide a variety of individual and organizational resilience services. The USAID Organizational Resilience (OR) Program provides services to leaders and teams of all sizes and configurations for the DC Headquarters and Missions around the world.

The Role of Organizational Resilience Advisor

OR Advisors provide high quality organizational resilience, leadership and team consultation and coaching services. OR Advisors work virtually and in-personto:

  • Design and deliver team strengthening activities, retreats, team coaching, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Design and conduct organizational assessments that include staff surveys, focus groups, individual interviews, data analysis and presentation, and development of incisive, actionable recommendations for organizational change.
  • Facilitate interactive small and large group discussions, workshops, and webinars.
  • Provide leadership development services, including one-to-one coaching, leadership consultation, and advising.
  • Partner with external consultants and internal OR Advisors to achieve organizational development/resilience results.

Qualifications

KonTerra is seeking seasoned organizational development professionals with:

  • Ten years related experience, a graduate degree or certification in organizational development or related field, and a coaching certification recognized by the International Coaching Federation or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing, delivering and producing virtual client services.
  • Experience working in developing country contexts and with international humanitarian and/or development organizations, including personnel from developing countries.
  • A demonstrated commitment to a strengths-based approach, an ability to think creatively about how resilience can be enhanced in organizational clients, and a track record of working collaboratively with others.
  • French or Spanish language fluency is a plus.
