The Department of Politics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a part time non-tenure track Assistant Professor, General Faculty, in American Politics with a focus on judicial politics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two undergraduate courses in both Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capacity to teach courses in judicial policy making, constitutional interpretation, and civil rights and liberties.
A Ph.D. degree in Politics with an area of specialization/concentration in American Politics, focusing on judicial politics, is required by the start date. The candidate must have demonstrated an ability to teach online.
This is a part time one-year academic appointment (9 month). Anticipated start date is in August, 2020.
