Job Purpose
In concert with the Director HR Compensation the Sr. Manager, Compensation will develop, implement, communicate, and administer competitive global compensation programs in International Medical Corps’ HQ and Field locations. This role will manage global compensation programs, including but not limited to, base salary, executive compensation, employee recognition programs, market pricing, compensation analysis, salary increase cycle, promotion planning, job descriptions and job architecture ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researches, develops or modifies global compensation strategies and programs to attract, retain, recognize, and reward employees.
  • Ensures all employees are assigned to the roles that accurately reflect accountabilities and titles performed;
  • Highlights possible (compensation-related) flight risks among key employees; identifies pay equity concerns; or develops standard processes/approval protocols for recurring compensation actions such as off-cycle increases, or counter offers.
  • Strategize with the Recruiting team to develop competitive offers rooted in market data and aligned with our compensation philosophy, for new hires and existing employees.
  • Administers executive compensation plans.
  • Manages cyclical compensation processes, including salary increase cycles, promotion planning, and bonus plan administration and budget.
  • Manages job description and job architecture process, market pricing, base salary, and salary structures.
  • Manages analysis of market and internal data to determine competitive positioning of International Medical Corps’ compensation programs.
  • Partners and collaborates with HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders in communicating and executing new or modified compensation programs.
  • Ensures compliance of compensation-related programs with applicable laws and oversees integrity of job data in the human capital management system.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends and regulatory updates. Continuously develops and increases compensation knowledge.
  • Identifies country-specific culture, programs, policies, and trends that will help develop competitive, flexible, and compliant compensation programs.
  • Supports workforce planning initiatives including forecasting and planning cost of labor.
  • Ensures compliance with all aspects of Equal Pay and OFCCP salary compliance. Participates in DCAA and internal audits, as required.
  • Accountable for the process advisement, compliance and process flow of mobility related issues.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of job analysis, job documentation, job classification, and salary administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of USG donor regulations for US-based, expatriate, TCN and local compensation and allowances. Knowledge of 2-CFR 200 and Cost Principles and their application to compensation and allowances.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal issues regarding compensation.
  • Strong creativity and relationship building (internal and external) skills.
  • Project management and business knowledge acumen.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Must manage time and priorities effectively by completing tasks in a timely manner.Code of Conduct

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience is essential
  • CCP/GRP and/or Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification preferred.
  • A combination 8 to 10 years of US/global compensation experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in global compensation plan design, strategy and administration preferred.
  • Experience levering technology to increase efficiency and reduce costs is preferred
