Bryant Christie Inc. (BCI) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual for an international trade policy assistant position. The position will be based in our Seattle office.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to monitor and analyze differences between pesticide regulatory policy in the United States and trading partners around the world and how those differences affect agricultural exports. Policy research and analysis work would also likely touch on international agricultural trade policy issues such as tariffs and market access. Candidates will be expected to interact with U.S. and foreign government officials and to report to clients. Knowledge of agricultural trade policy and a scientific background is not required, but a plus.
Successful candidates will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, outstanding attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills. They will be expected to work independently, meet tight deadlines and think strategically in resolving challenging trade issues. Candidates will also be expected to research and accurately comprehend agricultural regulations in numerous export markets. This position will support senior management and perform other duties as assigned.
Strong research, organizational, and writing skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, accountable for their work, and able to simultaneously manage multiple projects. This is a salaried position that includes benefits. Salary level depends on experience.
