The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) is an international organisation tasked with promoting innovative, comprehensive and sustainable migration policies. ICMPD is inviting all interested candidates to apply for the Associate Project Officer for the MIgration EU eXpertise+ (MIEUX+) initiative funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
MIEUX+ strengthens the capacities of public authorities to better manage migration and mobility in all its dimensions through the provision of tailor-made peer-to-peer expertise assistance. As a global migration capacity-building programme, MIEUX+ provides peer-to-peer expertise to partner countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The overall objective of MIEUX+ is to contribute to safe, orderly and regular migration. The specific objective is to improve migration governance at national, regional and global levels. MIEUX+ is made up of four inter-twined hubs (Hub 1 – Expertise, Hub 2 - Action, Hub 3 - Knowledge, Innovation and Trends, and Hub 4 - Networks and Partnerships) mutually reinforcing and complementing each other.

The Associate Project Officer supports the implementation of project activities. S/he contributes to organisation of project activities and administration of project inputs according to the approved project documentation, work plans and budgets, and in line with ICMPD´s rules and business processes. The Associate Project Officer supports coordination of activities with partners, beneficiaries and other stakeholders as well as the organisation and monitoring of the work progress of project consultants and contractors, s/he collects inputs and follows up on deliverables. The Associate Project Officer contributes to the formulation of substantive project outputs and content and to the implementation of project communications activities. S/he prepares inputs to drafts of new initiatives and donor and other substantive reports.
The Associate Project Officer works under the supervision of the Project Manager and in close collaboration with other members of the project team. S/he collaborates with project assistant(s) for implementation of administrative activities.
