The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a premier international affairs think tank headquartered in Washington D.C. with centers in Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, and New Delhi seeks a part-time (15 hours a week) research assistant to support its Democracy, Conflict and Governance program.
The research assistant will be expected to perform rigorous comparative research on remedies to political violence and polarization, with a focus on applications to the United States. Duties will include writing, editing, and proofreading publications, and assisting with project outreach activities.
Preferred candidates will have superior analytic, writing, and research skills; knowledge of the global democracy, human rights, and peacebuilding sectors; and an energetic and cooperative work style. A bachelor’s degree in international affairs, political science or a similar related field is required.
