The George Mason University Department of Cyber Security Engineering, within the Volgenau School of Engineering, invites applications for multiple open rank, renewable-term, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor and Instructor positions beginning Fall 2021. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses as well as service duties associated with the department’s undergraduate degree programs. Collaborations within and beyond Mason, or as part of initiatives and cooperative ventures are encouraged.
Applicants for Assistant Professor positions must have received a PhD in Engineering, Computing or a related field by the start date of the position. Applicants who have received a MS in Engineering, Computing or a related field by the start date of the position will be considered for Instructor positions. Applicants should possess a strong commitment to and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Applicants in all areas of application oriented cyber security will be given serious consideration. We are particularly interested in candidates in the areas of cyber physical and autonomous systems. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience. Administrative and/or managerial experience is a plus.
