Job Description

  • Provide technical expertise in the development, operation and implementation of security systems, operational security, nuclear material safeguards, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, security policy, and critical infrastructure protection.

  • Apply specialized knowledge of equipment and technologies deployed for physical security, WMD counter-proliferation, and interdiction operations.

  • Develop and implement training, exercises, procedures, logistics strategies, concept of operations, planning, and assessment techniques and tools associated with the deployment, operation, maintenance, and sustainability of these systems.

  • Conduct assessments, evaluations and analysis of these systems to support troubleshooting, forecast reliability and sustainability challenges, and identify opportunities for technological or operational enhancements.

  • Communicate with a wide range of federal, state, and local authorities regarding policies, requirements, and conduct of operations both domestically and internationally.

  • Provide technical reachback support to U.S. enforcement agencies in support of WMD strategic trade enforcement efforts.

  • Ability to use database tools such as TAC, Palantir, and others, along with media sources to conduct analysis of national security challenges and develop analytic products for internal and external sponsors.

  • Ability to support and/or lead projects focusing on training, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and integration of technologies into national security systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams and engage effectively high level US and foreign officials.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 plus years of relevant experience. Advanced degree and 3 plus years of relevant experience. Professional license and/or certification may be preferred.

  • Self-motivation, ability to work successfully in a team as well as be a reliable independent contributor, possesses good judgment and decision-making, planning and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience in the security industry or military security operations

  • A technical degree or specialized training in related fields, such as international relations, emergency response, analytic tools and techniques, or specialized expertise in one or more national security domains

  • Professional expertise or educational background in national security topics such as chemical, nuclear, biological weapons issues

  • Certifications in project management, Basic Instructor Training, or analytic tools and techniques
