Position description


  • Under the guidance of the Head of Office, coordinate and contribute to the formulation of the office’s strategy and work plan, ensuring its effective implementation
  • Support and ensure effective communication and advocacy activities in Warsaw in accordance with the strategies defined with the Head of Office
  • Organise public and private events, coordinate the office’s media work and dissemination of ECFR publications
  • Manage and coordinate the content of the Warsaw office webpage as well as Social Media
  • In cooperation with the Head of Office, identify and liaise with relevant external contacts, partners and Council members; strengthen the ECFR Warsaw network and ensure the development and maintenance of an effective contact database
  • Represent ECFR externally as required
  • Support coordinate fundraising efforts and contribute to prepare relevant material and approaches to prospective donors, with the Strategic Partnerships team
  • Under the supervision of a Head of Office, ensure the daily administrative and financial management of the office
  • Manage the Warsaw office interns
  • Follow relevant debates and discussions in Poland about relevant EU developments and Polish foreign policy
  • Coordination between ECFR and the Stefan Batory Foundation on programmatic, financial and administrative affairs


  • Passion for EU foreign policy
  • Excellent organizational skills, keen eye for details and a hands-on approach
  • Experience in advocacy and communication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency social media communications
  • Flexibility: ability to multi-task, work towards deadlines and manage stressful situations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team
  • Very good knowledge of Polish and English (C1 level)

  • Project management experience, preferably in a fast-paced international environment requiring extensive coordination with others
  • Office management experience
  • Familiarity with Office 365 environment, CiviCRM and WordPress


ECFR Warsaw operates under the aegis of the Stefan Batory Foundation and as a programme of the Foundation. Your contract will therefore be with the Stefan Batory Foundation.
