Position description

Position Summary 

The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) is recruiting for graphic design consultants to support projects and proposals on an ongoing basis. To be eligible, consultants must demonstrate that they can perform the following responsibilities and have the following qualifications: 

Graphic Design Consultant Responsibilities 

  • Creating a wide range of digital graphics and layouts for corporate information, reports, and websites with software such as photoshop. 

  • Planning design concepts by studying relevant information and materials. 

  • Illustrating design concepts and submitting them for approval. 

  • Reviewing final design images and suggesting improvements. 


Graphic Design Consultant Required Qualifications 

  • Demonstrated ability to create simplified graphics and design from complex ideas and frameworks. Types of graphics may include theories of change, value chain maps, and charts and tables. 

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio. 

  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design. 

  • Five years-experience supporting graphic design efforts for US Government-funded and or NGO projects and proposals. Experience with USAID-related projects and proposals preferred. 

  • Expertise with various desktop publishing tools, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator required. 

  • Able to advise project and proposal teams on appropriate visuals to demonstrate a concept or idea.

Evaluation Process and Criteria 

An evaluation panel from WOCCU will review submissions on a rolling basis as they are received and until provided deadline. Evaluation will be based upon completion of Application, qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates may be requested to produce a basic to intermediate custom graphic to add to their application. Interviews, with selected candidates, will be performed via telephone or web-based platform, as provided by WOCCU during the scheduling process.  

Terms of Consultant and Agreement Information 

Selected consultants will be awarded with an umbrella contract agreement that allows for multiple task orders at an agreed upon rate. Task orders will be issued on an as needed basis by individual project and proposal teams, across the organization with varying goals and target audiences. No travel is anticipated for this consultancy.  

Payment will be made upon acceptance of the work performed in accordance with the contractual scope or milestones. The terms of payment are 30 days after receipt of invoice and acceptance of work. Payment will be affected by ACH in USD. WOCCU does not reimburse consultant for graphic design software or computer hardware.
