Position description

We are seeking an Intern Year Round - Business Graduate to join our dynamic team!
On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Support ongoing business development and partnership activities for Sandia's national security applications and programs with a focus on defense and intelligence organizations (e.g. strategy development, customer engagement planning, marketing and communications, customer visits, etc.)
  • Perform business research and analysis of markets, technologies and partnerships relevant to Sandia’s program portfolios
  • Work under direction to assist business development staff. Our team helps technical line organizations understand and apply business development concepts for the purpose of meeting Sandia’s goals for partnerships

Posting Duration

Qualifications We Require

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

  • Earned bachelor's degree
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in a related accredited graduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship

Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience with marketing and business concepts
  • Experience with data analysis, including statistical analysis
  • Previous courses in international relations, foreign policy, engineering or science
  • Experience in communications, technical writing or research

The National Security Partnerships and Business Development Department provides embedded business development professionals with a passion for national security, enthusiasm for science and engineering, and the ability to navigate complex organizational cultures. The embedded business development teams have been demonstrating significant impact to Sandia for over 20 years. Staff are developed through a structured onboarding and mentoring process specifically designed for the business development discipline. The team has access to a rich set of proven business development and partnership resources, best practices and experienced management and staff. Due to the embedded model and its breadth of support, team members have an immediate built-in professional network across Sandia’s technical programs and support infrastructure.
