Position description

The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) seeking a Senior Private Sector Integrity Advisor to support implementation of CIPE’s project focused on developing and maintaining corporate integrity practices and private sector coalitions in Mexico. The Senior Private Sector Integrity Advisor will be responsible for implementing the project’s Private Sector Integrity component and work with counterparts in corporate integrity practices and building private sector coalitions.

The Senior Private Sector Integrity Advisor will, report to the implementing partner Chief of Party, work closely with counterparts and other project teams seeking to strengthen and develop Mexico’s corporate compliance and anti-corruption integrity systems. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • A university degree in a relevant discipline and at least 6 years of professional experience; Graduate degree preferred;
  • Experience engaging in small business or entrepreneurial capacity building and outreach in Mexico;
  • Working knowledge of SME/MNC supply chain management and dynamics;
  • Working knowledge of Mexican private sector coalitions/partners, corporate compliance, and anti-corruption training techniques, preferred;
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills;
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English;
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and efficiently coordinate several ongoing tasks;
  • Ability to perform duties that require close attention to detail and synthesize large amounts of information;
  • Ability to work under pressure as a part of the Project team.

 

Job Description

  • Implementing program activities, in a collaborative fashion, solutions that strengthen Mexico’s integrity systems in the long run, including expanding Mexico’s corporate integrity initiatives, developing integrity tool kits, and training program, developing integrity collective action agenda, piloting a risk reporting program;
  • Coordinating with ongoing business integrity initiatives implemented by organizations such as the Alliance for Integrity, the UK cooperation, UNODC and/or UNDP to understand the assistance they are providing and how it is complemented by the Project;
  • Building strong relationships with counterparts to understand their needs and ensure desired program outcomes;
  • Collaborating with long-term technical experts to ensure program interventions are effectively implemented;
  • Supervising the work of short-term technical experts (STTA);
  • Ensuring compliance with USAID regulations, CIPE procedures, and Mexican law.
