The Program Coordinator for the Anwar Sadat Chair for Peace and Development is responsible for the administration of the Sadat Chair. This includes managing the Program’s finances as well as managing the calendar of the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development. The Program Coordinator supervises 2-3 student office assistants each semester and is also responsible for planning and coordinating the logistics for events held by the Sadat Chair including Sadat Forums, the Sadat Art for Peace Competition, and the Sadat Book Chats. This position will also coordinate for the University of Maryland’s Critical Issues Poll with Nielsen Scarborough (UMCIP). Other duties associated with this position include handling all foreign and domestic travel arrangements and maintaining the Program’s website and Twitter account.
Education and Experience:
BA degree and 2 years experience working in an office environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with students, faculty and staff.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office suite
MA degree and experience working in a higher education setting preferred. Preference given to candidates with demonstrated proficiency in Kuali Financial and Priority Software. Demonstrated knowledge of SPSS strongly preferred.
