Position description

The Foreign Policy Association is seeking talented, early-career journalists and international relations professionals for its 2021 Fellows Program. These five-month fellowships are highly competitive, offering young reporters, aspiring editors, or international relations professionals the chance to work closely with seasoned professionals on a public television series examining eight global challenges facing America today.

- Research and edit episodes of Great Decisions television on PBS

- Research organizations, images, and video clips

- Contribute to FPA web production, including content creation, copy-editing, and social media when time permits

Fellows receive a monthly stipend to defray expenses.

Qualifications

Fellows play a key role in the daily production of the Great Decisions broadcast on public television and receive an Associate Producer credit on the episodes they are assigned. Fellows support extensive topic research, guest booking, script development, and archival research. Fellows will be able to attend FPA events in New York, schedule permitting.  Depending upon the status of the pandemic, there may be the opportunity to conduct in-person filming later in the year in New York and DC. A master's degree is the preferred minimum education.

Fellows receive an $800 monthly stipend to defray expenses.
