Position description

Orgalim - Europe’s Technology Industries is looking for an intern to support its policy work. The responsibilities cover Orgalim’s EU advocacy on exciting policy areas such as digital transformation, environmental policies, energy, internal market, and industrial policy. He/she will support the Policy team, having an opportunity to shape and achieve Orgalim’s policy objectives. He/she will report to the Policy Director, working closely with the wider team. This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience in one of the leading industry associations in Europe, on issues that are at the top of the EU’s political agenda, and key to Europe’s industrial base.

Who we are

Orgalim has a team of 31 people - 14 nationalities - representing the interests of Europe’s technology industries: innovative companies spanning the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, ICT and metal technology branches. We are working with policymakers and stakeholders to strengthen our industries’ growth and global leadership, to maximise their contribution to Europe’s economy and society, and to foster a new relationship of trust between businesses and citizens.

The responsibilities include

  • Support with the monitoring of developments in various policy areas;
  • Gather information and produce reports from relevant internal and external meetings and events;
  • Support the implementation of advocacy strategies;
  • Support the work in Orgalim’s relevant Working Groups and Task Forces;
  • Support with the communication activities (e.g., organization of events, social media campaigns etc.)​​​​​​​.

Your profile

  • University degree;
  • Familiar with European politics and/or policies;
  • Proven understanding of the European Union and its institutions, processes and policies;
  • Motivated, eager to learn, with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and a “can-do” attitude;
  • Proficient communicator, both written and oral;
  • Excellent level of English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus;
  • An effective team player with the ability to work within flexible and multidisciplinary structures.
