SongYun Forum Recruitment Notice

Songun Forum is a high-end international research project initiated by the Shanghai International Institute for Strategic Studies (SIISS) to help governments and societies build an understandable, sustainably prosperous and balanced world through dialogue, analysis and solution-based ideas. As an independent think tank, we adhere to the principles of inclusive multilateralism and are willing to find common values in the common future of nations and peoples.

We approach our mission from three perspectives.

Exchanging views and conducting in-depth research on focused international issues in the field of international strategic studies ;
To provide timely and professional interpretation of China's contemporary social policies through international media presentations and co-founded studies and seminars;
Promote economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and contribute to the building of a more equal, balanced and prosperous world;
Due to the growth of our business, we intend to recruit international scholars and researchers in related fields. Specific requirements are as follows.

Position Summary and Description

1、Write commentary articles on international political focus issues and geopolitical hotspots;

2、Participate in writing in-depth research reports on international political hotspots and geopolitical issues;

3、Participate in expert dialogue activities and roundtable discussions organized by the forum, providing professional opinions and in-depth views;

4、Assist in organizing international researchers to participate in the relevant research and discussion work of this forum;

5、Part-time work opportunities, non-resident researchers;

6、Nationalities of researchers are not restricted, and professional academic backgrounds are not restricted;

Basic quality requirements for job seekers

1、Rich work experience and research experience in international politics, geopolitics, great power diplomacy, international economy, international organizations and other related fields; or media work experience and policy consulting work experience that is highly relevant to the above fields;

2、Experience in writing opinion articles and in-depth research reports, with deep professional knowledge and extensive social network resources;

3、Have strong international social activities and participation ability, able to actively participate and organize the relevant activities required by the forum on their own;

Special preference for

1. professionals with relevant work experience in international organizations, diplomacy, social politics and other fields; researchers from universities and research institutions, researchers from think tanks, policy advisors and journalists;

2. experience in US politics and diplomacy, EU and UK politics and diplomacy, and Asia-Pacific geopolitical research;

3. Professional in-depth research skills, strategic research awareness and critical thinking skills;

Salary

The Forum will provide compensation based on the actual requirements of the work and the ultimate value of the work. Compensation will range from $300 to $2,000 on a one-task-one-payment basis. Special compensation and special treatment will be given for special contributions to the development of the forum.

Qualifications

The basic quality requirements of job seekers

1. Possess rich work experience and research experience in related fields such as international politics, geopolitics, major country diplomacy, international economics, and international organizations; or have media work experience and policy consulting work experience that are highly related to the above fields;

2. Have working experience in writing review articles and in-depth research reports, with deep professional knowledge accumulation and extensive social network resources;

3. Have strong international social activities and participation capabilities, and be able to actively participate in and organize relevant activities required by the forum on their own;

Particularly inclined:

1. Professionals with relevant work experience in the fields of international organizations, foreign affairs and social politics; researchers from universities and research institutions, researchers from think tanks, policy consultants, and journalists;

2. Researching experience on American politics and diplomacy, EU and British politics and diplomacy, and geopolitical research in the Asia-Pacific region;

3. Possess professional in-depth research capabilities, strategic research awareness and critical thinking skills
