Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Analyst Alliance Analysis is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the revenue performance of United's airline partnerships. The position requires the ability to evaluate and communicate data regarding all facets of our interactions with partner airlines, providing insight into the resulting financial and functional implications.

  • Assist in evaluation of economic value for proposed new and existing airline partnerships
  • Support senior leadership interactions and ad hoc requests
  • Assist in development and continual optimization of enterprise-wide accepted alliance evaluation methodology and reporting
  • Collaborate within the Alliances and International Network organization to provide input and insight on continued optimization and performance of partner connections
  • Regular reporting on revenue performance of each of United's partnerships to Alliance and other Commercial leadership constituents


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4 years professional analytics experience or 1 year of Aircraft Scheduling/Planning experience encouraged
  • Strong knowledge of airline alliance, network, operations and economics
  • Understanding of fundamentals of airline network planning, financial reporting, revenue accounting
  • Adeptness at problem solving and analysis, with ability to clearly communicate results and implications
  • Broad understanding of airline business model especially in Alliances, Revenue Management, Network, or Financial Reporting
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • MBA or Master's degree in information systems, economics or international relations
  • International study or professional experience in a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization tools and/or revenue management systems

NOTE: This position is a hybrid role including a combination of days worked in our Chicago office and remotely.
