Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Political Science has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester.
Presently, we have a specific need for faculty to teach within the field of American Politics, International Relations/Global Politics, Comparative Politics, and Public Policy.
Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are typically offered during the day and may include:
1. Intro to Global Politics
2. Intro to Comparative Politics
3. Politics of MENA
4. Topics in Public Policy

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching of a specified course
Preparation of materials
Providing support and guidance to students
Grade reporting and assessment
Secondary Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Relations, or a closely related field.
Previous teaching/training experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABD or PhD in Political Science, International Relations, or closely related field.
Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
