This course offers an introduction to the legal profession from the perspective of both law practitioners and the social sciences. It provides students will a full view of the profession from undergraduate education, to the LSAT, to choosing law schools, paying for law school, and legal careers. In addition, this course will offer a critical review of the role of the lawyer in society by exploring issues like access to justice, legal ethics, and cause-lawyering among others. A detailed course syllabus submitted to the department chair will be required.
