Periodically, the College of Arts and Sciences may have various openings throughout the year for part-time, non-tenure lecturers to teach 1-3 undergraduate geography courses in the Department of Humanities. These courses may include Cultural Geography, Introduction to Geography, Globalization and its Ethical Challenges, and other courses as needed.
Positions are filled on an as-needed basis. Since our needs vary, please do not expect an immediate response. Indication of your availability to work online or face-to-face, as well as general time periods of your availability, is very helpful, especially as we may keep your CV on file for consideration in future semesters.
Successful candidates will hold an MA or PhD in geography (for geography courses), international relations, or a closely related field. Previous teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas learning management system strongly preferred.
Benefits / Compensation
Adjunct Faculty members are not eligible for University Benefits. Compensation for each course will be based on qualifications and experience of the applicant, and will be determined during the planning for each course.
