The Public Relations Department at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications is seeking to fill a full-time Professor-of-Practice (PoP) with a PR professional who has impressive industry experience, beginning in Fall 2023. A PoP’s main responsibilities include teaching, maintaining connections to the industry to keep the department and School current on professional practices and innovation, and service to the department, School, University, and community.

Widely regarded as the nation’s leading communications school, Newhouse is home to approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 180 graduate students. It is housed in a 250,000-square-foot, three-building complex that includes state-of-the-art classrooms, a 300-seat auditorium, a research center, an executive education wing, a café, and many spaces for formal and informal meetings and collaboration among students, faculty, and staff.
