T Magazine is looking for a staff editor, digital to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the T website, including editing and writing new content and uploading content from the print edition. The ideal candidate should be highly visual and have a mix of news judgment, creative thinking, writing and editing skills, technical know-how and social media savvy. Editor will also have the opportunity to pitch, and edit, stories for the print edition of T (whose editors also work on some digital-only stories and packages). This role reports to T’s Articles Editor. This is a guild position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate editorial schedule for T website and content packages, including the digital rollout of print stories

  • Pitch, wrangle, edit web features and smaller items of copy 

  • Assist with social media and weekly newsletters

  • Work across the web and print teams on various projects

  • Liaise with the editor-in-chief and other magazine departments as needed

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of editorial experience

  • Strong editing skills, preferably with fashion, food, travel, or luxury lifestyle content

  • Must be a strong problem solver and have excellent communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An interest in and deep knowledge of the subject matters that T covers (i.e. fashion, design, art, culture, etc.)

  • Prior experience working for a luxury fashion, lifestyle or travel magazine/website

The annual base pay range for this role is between $105,308.84 and $112,000.00.
