 Geneva Global Programs Team Intern – Grants Management 

Are you looking to make an impact in a dynamic environment where you collaborate with smart, motivated people who want to make a difference in the world? We are looking to hire a part-time intern for the fall 2023 academic semester to support our work in grantmaking and grants management. 

Who We Are  

We’re Geneva Global, a Certified B Corporation and consulting company. We work with philanthropists, charitable organizations, and corporations to help them get better results and make the biggest impact possible. We serve as trusted advisors and thought partners to our clients, working with them to develop customized strategies, launch new initiatives, and improve and assess the impact of their work and their giving.   

The Position and Its Qualifications  

As an Intern, you’ll work closely with members of the Design & Implementation Team responsible for managing multiple projects related to grantmaking and grants management. Your projects may include the sectors of global health, gun violence prevention, climate change, and/or international development more broadly.  

You will enjoy working on these tasks to support the team: 

  • Review, compilation, and analysis of grantee reports and applications. 
  • Creation and formatting of client deliverables, including slide decks and word documents. 
  • Administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, tracking important deadlines, data entry, and other administrative tasks assigned. 
  • Collaborate on the preparation of presentations and other relevant materials for meetings with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Participate as a peer-contributor, learner, and note-taker in virtual (and potentially in-person) meetings with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Due diligence reviews on potential grantees on behalf of clients. 
  • Special projects around grantmaking, which may include: 
  • Research and analysis on trends within the philanthropy industry, including Trust-Based Philanthropy or Grants Management Systems. 
  • Based on research and analysis into the philanthropy industry, contribute to written materials (i.e., blogs, white papers, or articles)to disseminate the findings.  

Qualifications:  

  • 20 hours per week for three months. (September – December 2023) Monthly stipend. 
  • Computer skills (including Microsoft Office).  
  • Interest in a career in international development, philanthropy, or grant management.  
  • Analytical and writing skills in English. 
  • Solid research capacity and interest.  
  • Strong self-discipline in independent work.  
  • Cross-cultural communicator.  
  • Current or recent university student (B.A. or master's level)
