At the entry level of this position, you will: 

• Formulate and recommend administrative plans and procedures and implement existing administrative regulations. 
• Screen all personnel action requests and coordinate materials for management review. 
• Serve as Custodial Officer accountable for office property, procurement, transfers, and disposal of equipment. 
• Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, records, briefing materials, and statistical and narrative material required to support the organization. 

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.


To qualify for the GS-09 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-07 level defined as assisting in the formulation of administrative plans or procedures; composing and/or preparing various correspondence or documents required to support the organization; and screening action requests for management review. 

To qualify for the GS-11 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to a GS-9 defined as interpreting administrative policies or implementing procedures to cover internal operations; compiling required documents or reviewing and tracking personnel actions; and monitoring the procurement of supplies, property, and services.

Note: Education and experience may be combined for all grade levels to meet minimum eligibility requirements.
