Work you’ll do

  • Support activities for rulemaking, loan application due analysis/diligence, financial management, construction management, and/or energy market analysis.
  • Evaluate and assess projects through analyses such as financial modeling, capacity analysis, and determining project risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct due diligence and analyze the viability of new energy and infrastructure developments as well as the funding and financing options that underpin them.
  • Review and analyze energy regulations regarding environmental, social, and economic impacts of energy project development.
  • Conduct research on projects focused on energy transitions and disaster management.
  • Develop guidance, processes, policy, and training materials.
  • Provide technical assistance to the government agency and support maintenance of the grant's administrative records. 
  • Actively participate in development of business and vendor relationships.
  • Participate in pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives.
  • Help our clients make infrastructure decisions that strategically align with organizational objectives.
  • Build suitable structures, systems, and controls so that our clients can deliver capital projects with confidence.

The client issues we tackle include transportation, energy/renewables, connectivity, social and health infrastructure, disaster response and recovery monitoring, and smart infrastructure. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in environmental science, business, international relations, engineering, or another business-related field.
  • Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Experience in areas such as project finance, infrastructure, and/or banking operations.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial modeling.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities that requires professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.

Preferred:

  • Previous Professional Services Firm or Big 4 experience.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, energy and environmental law, economics, environmental engineering, or another business-related field.
