Position description

SAIC is seeking a mid-level analyst to join our Analytic Outreach team in the Chantilly, VA area. which designs, develops, and executes analytic games, tabletop exercises, and workshops to help members of the IC and DoD explore new and emerging national security issues, test real-world and hypothetical scenarios, consider the effectiveness of policies and strategies, and proactively identify risks and opportunities for the U.S. and its allies. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, develop, and execute analytic games, tabletop exercises, and workshops to help members of the IC and DoD explore new and emerging national security issues, test real-world and hypothetical scenarios, consider the effectiveness of policies and strategies, and proactively identify risks and opportunities for the U.S. and its allies. 
  • Development of conferences, bringing together members of the DoD, IC, state and local government, academia, and commercial industry to address key topics such as cyber security and defense of critical infrastructure.
  • International relations, operations research, economics, political science, military analysis and/or exercise/conference planning.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Education: 

  • Bachelor's and 5 years or more experience. Master's and 3 years or more experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience with modeling, simulations, operations research, or conference/event planning.
  • The ideal candidate will also possess a strong writing ability and will be interested in performing research to support the development of background materials, scenarios, trends assessments, and analytic reports.
  • Comfortable with MS Office, in particular MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working directly with customers, helping them to refine objectives and derive key intelligence questions.
  • 5+ years of experience with modeling, simulations, operations research, or conference/event planning.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience writing finished intelligence or DoD products.
    Experience developing scenarios or player-based analytic games to test hypotheses.
