Your data analysis will shape decision-making across Europe.

Are you qualified to degree level in finance or a related field, with advanced training in financial mathematics? Do you have sound experience in ALM or a similar function acquired within the Finance Direction of a public or private bank, audit firm or consultancy? Then you can play a crucial role within Asset & Liability Management for a pan-European bank with a unique social development mandate.

Bringing together 43 member countries, the CEB finances and responds to emergency situations and actively enhances the living conditions of the most disadvantaged groups. Strengthening social cohesion and building thriving communities in Europe, we drive inclusive growth, bolster economic sustainability – and create exceptional careers.

Analysing and industrialising the production of ALM current indicators and simulations, you will improve bond portfolio analytical metrics and actively enhance our reporting tools to support strategic and operational decision-making. In particular, you will provide monthly reports delivering real insight, monitor our Contingency Funding Plan and conduct ad hoc assessments of liquidity, profit and risk indicators, whilst liaising constantly with Treasury and Funding colleagues and external rating agencies.

This will offer you a prominent role and considerable responsibility, so you should bring:

  • Proven ability to manipulate and manage data using your own initiative;
  • Outstanding analytical skills and innate ability to interpret information;
  • Deep knowledge of banking and investment products;
  • A good understanding of financial markets;
  • Demonstrable ability to assess risks and make clear and considered recommendations;
  • Excellent command of the Microsoft Office suite, with particular proficiency in modelling in Excel;
  • An excellent command of either English or French, backed by a working knowledge of the other language;
  • Finally, experience of database administration tools (preferably Globus/T24, SQL and VBA) would be very useful, alongside the ability to configure Moody’s RCO and ALM. Familiarity with financial software such as Bloomberg is a plus.
