Work you’ll do

  • Review and analyze energy regulations regarding environmental, social, and economic impacts of energy project development.
  • Address client issues in areas including transportation, energy/renewables, connectivity, social and health infrastructure, disaster response and recovery monitoring, and smart infrastructure.
  • Conduct research on projects focused on energy transitions and disaster management.
  • Develop guidance, processes, policy, and training materials.
  • Provide technical assistance to the government agencies and support maintenance of grants’ administrative records.
  • Budgeting and planning for operations.
  • Actively participate in development of business and vendor relationships.
  • Help our clients make infrastructure decisions that strategically align with organizational objectives.
  • Participate in pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach others.

We work collaboratively to help agencies plan, finance, develop, build, and deliver the next generation of infrastructure across the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Municipalities. The client issues we tackle include transportation, energy/renewables, connectivity, social and health infrastructure, disaster response and recovery monitoring, and smart infrastructure. 

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in environmental science, business, international relations, engineering, or another business-related field.
  • Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Experience analyzing energy regulations. 
  • 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities that requires professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.

Preferred:

  • Previous Professional Services Firm or Big 4 experience.
  • Currently certified as a PE, AIA, PMP, PSP, CCM
  • Master’s degree in business administration, energy and environmental law, economics, environmental engineering, or another business-related field.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington, DC, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $162,000.
