Position Summary
The Department of Government and the Africana Studies program at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, jointly seek applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level with an emphasis on the politics of race and ethnicity of the peoples of Africa and/or the African diaspora.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in political science, African studies, African American studies or a related field at the time the appointment begins (August 10, 2025).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in teaching and mentoring successful undergraduate research, and willingness to enter the rotation of professors who teach "Introduction to Africana Studies," are preferred qualifications.
