The Purdue Applied Research Institute, Global Development and Innovation Lab (PARI-GDI) is a start-up, non-profit organization wholly owned by Purdue University. PARI-GDI seeks a Program Director to support global development programming focusing on education & youth (EY), with specific emphasis on engineering and STEM education, education in crisis and displacement, higher education partnerships, and research methods, and other technical sectors prioritized by global development funders in EY. Successful candidates will have demonstrated technical expertise in pursuing, designing, winning, and implementing donor-funded programming by such entities as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of State, and/or other bi- and multi-lateral funding organizations.
The position reports to the PARI-GDI Director of Practice for Education and Youth. Key general expectations include: managing global programs implementation funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Department of State, among other US Government (USG) and corporate funders, supporting practice area and organizational business development, and modeling PARI/GDI core values around collaboration, adaptability, and commitment to gender, diversity, equity. Experience working on USG contracts, cooperative agreements and grants is preferred. Collaboration with practice areas, faculty, students and staff is expected. Position can be on campus in W. Lafayette, IN or remote.
