Contract: 9 months, full-time
Start date: July 2025
Application deadline: 18 April 2025
We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to work in our small team, with our members, to advance the policy advocacy agenda of the Carbon Dioxide Removals (CDR) industry. The position is for nine months (July 2025 to March 2026), with a possibility of extension if funding allows.
About us
Negative Emissions Platform is the leading membership association for companies in the CDR space, advocating for better recognition and regulation of atmospheric carbon removal solutions. Our primary focus is Europe but we are also active internationally. This position offers a unique opportunity to become a part of a growing industry that is critical to reversing climate change, in a period of important legislative and policy developments.
About you
You share our conviction that a workable portfolio of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies and solutions is urgently needed both to keep on reducing emissions and start removing legacy carbon from the atmosphere at scale. You see an urgent need for advocacy for negative emissions technologies and you want to use your talents in policy advocacy to make a positive impact for society and the planet.
You’ll be part of a small team that is passionate about growing a small community of niche entrepreneurial climate defenders into a well-understood trusted and global powerhouse industry that goes beyond offering damage limitation and instead offers hope through solutions that can lower concentrations atmospheric greenhouse gases.
Timing
The primary reason for this role is maternity leave cover, and so the contract will initially be limited to the planned duration of the maternity leave, with a one-month overlap before it begins and after it ends. However, NEP is currently fundraising with a view to increasing its footprint and growing its team, and there is therefore a possibility that the successful candidate could be asked to stay on permanently.
