Responsibilities

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate or Analyst to join our Strategic Advisory Group in New York. This role will focus on providing clients with insight into geopolitical trends, helping them assess risks and opportunities in a rapidly changing global environment. The individual will work closely with senior team members to develop analysis, presentations, and recommendations that inform key strategic decisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and geopolitics, providing critical insights to clients navigating global challenges. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze global political, economic, and regulatory developments to assess their impact on financial markets, corporate strategy, and investment decisions.
  • Conduct research on macroeconomic and geopolitical trends, including trade policies, political risks, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare client presentations and briefing materials with clear, insightful analysis using PowerPoint.
  • Utilize financial data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and other relevant sources to extract and interpret key data.
  • Develop financial models and conduct quantitative analysis in Excel to support strategic insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to synthesize complex geopolitical issues into actionable intelligence for clients.
  • Monitor key global events and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and clients.

 

Qualifications

We seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and are proven self-starters.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international relations, political science, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in geopolitical analysis, economic research, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of global macroeconomic trends, political risk, and international affairs.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with experience in financial modeling and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with financial data providers such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and other relevant sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
