The Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI) International Admissions Office, located within the Office of International Affairs (OIA), seeks experienced, dynamic candidates to play a primary role in fulfilling the University charge to increase enrollment of qualified international undergraduate students at IUPUI.
As part of an international recruitment team that develops and implements a strategic recruitment plan, this position ensures effective global outreach to prospective international applicants through the management of a diverse array of web based, electronic, print, and social media tools and resources. Ability to create and deploy communication campaigns through the use of a CRM is essential, along with expertise in analyzing data to determine return on investment.
Evaluates current digital and print communications at all stages of the international student recruitment and enrollment process. Designs and deploys various recruitment and admission-related digital and print assets in consultation with international admissions staff, key staff in OIA, and appropriate university departments while ensuring adherence to IU branding guidelines.
Supervises the International Recruitment Outreach Manager (IROM) who is responsible for strategic recruitment efforts to increase enrollment of international students studying in U.S. high schools, community colleges, and English language centers. Works with the IROM and the international recruitment team to develop and implement an annual strategic plan to target key U.S. markets. Allocates special projects and outreach activities to address opportunities that arise.
Represents IUPUI at international fairs, conferences, high school visits, and other recruitment events to recruit qualified international undergraduate students. Builds relationships with schools and academic departments as part of international recruitment team. Assists in the development of content for presentations, workshops, webinars, and on-line chats.
Collaborates with the international recruitment team to develop, implement, and refine a strategic international recruitment plan. Stays current in the international education field by reading publications, attending and presenting at conferences, and participating in professional organizations and networks associated with international student recruitment.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, plus 3 years relevant experience in admissions, communications, university services, or marketing related field and 1 year experience with development of CRM software applications or web/electronic communications/electronic journalism/marketing.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Strong cross-cultural communication skills; ability to travel internationally; excellent oral and written communication skills, and facility with a broad range of marketing platforms and applications. Ability to work independently, under limited supervision, and provide solutions to complex problems. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize work effectively.
