The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that seeks to improve systems of democracy and justice in the United States. We work to hold our political institutions and laws accountable to the twin American ideals of democracy and equal justice for all. Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Publications Editor will oversee the editorial production process for the organization’s reports, papers, and books. The Publications Editor will work closely with program and design staff to shepherd reports through the pre-production process; copyedit and proofread copy manuscripts and layouts; hire, manage, and evaluate freelancers; create and track schedules; and manage the approvals process.
