Digital Communications Specialist Opportunity with New Hampshire Peace Action- Half-time (20 HRS Per week $15-20/hr based on experience)

 Who we are:

New Hampshire Peace Action (NHPA) is non-profit organization that educates, mobilizes, and organizes, to build a more peaceful and just future for all.  NHPA is an active and effective organization mobilizing around issues of peace, disarmament and militarization and their intersections with anti-racism, environmental justice, economic inequality, immigrant, women and children’s rights to build bridges to common understanding, strategy and action. 

 NHPA’s core program focuses on shifting wasteful Pentagon spending to the funding of vital human needs, responsible and sustainable foreign relations, and confronting the existential threat posed to our planet and species by nuclear weapons and nuclear proliferation. 

 We envisage a future where international relations are based on cooperation instead of competition and conflict, and where mutual benefit and shared security lead to a more peaceful and just global community.  

 What We Need:

NHPA is seeking a staff person who can assist with the design and management of outreach through digital media. This will include digital communications with our existing membership and supporters as well as to connect our message with groups and individuals that don’t yet know NHPA.

 

Digital Communications Position Responsibilities:

  • Understand the overall goals of NHPA and its projects
  • Design, monitor, moderate, and manage the organization’s social media outreach 
  • Help maintain and update Wordpress Website with Office Manager and Executive Director
  • Digital media asset creation
  • Drafting and editing email communications
  • Provide suggestions for improving the customer web experience to the Executive Director, staff and Board of Directors

      Estimated Hours per Week:      15-20   

Qualifications

  • Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, etc.
  • Creativity
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience with Wordpress
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Experience with content creation and curation aligned to our mission
