Position description

The Federal Trade Commission needs qualified personnel to provide Program Support Services to assist the Office of International Affairs (OIA) with event and meeting planning, market research and budget exercises, foreign assistance (i.e., travel logistics, country clearance requests), drafting Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG) reports, and other tasks necessary for the successful execution of OIA mission needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in social sciences, administrative sciences, business administration, or similar field of study
  • Three years of experience working with the U.S. Department of State’s Country Clearance program
  • Three years’ experience providing administrative support, specifically in the fields related to international consumer protection and antitrust law projects
  • Three years’ experience planning and facilitating international and domestic events/meetings both in person and on a virtual platform

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :

  • Assistance with budget analysis, resource estimates, and various financial exercises
  • Facilitate the research, data collection, analysis, and preparation of various reports
  • Manage Office of International Affairs (OIA) documentation, both physical and electronic versions, ensuring that file folders are organized in accordance with OIA guidelines, and properly labeled and stored
  • Event and meeting planning, including in-person or virtual events and meetings held domestically and internationally
  • Assistance for international travel (i.e., logistics, obtaining country clearances)
  • Maintain Administrative Officer’s staff tracker detailing onboard/offboard activities, and various personnel actions
  • Track and manage OIA subscriptions, including the type of subscription, cost, usage, and renewal dates
  • Track and maintain inventory of all OIA office supplies and equipment, ensuring that equipment is securely stored and in good working order
  • Manage the eConsumer inbox
  • Monitor and track eConsumer emails and complaints
  • Review, respond, and process complaints
  • Collect and analyze data, and draft reports for the following:
    • Trade Capacity and Foreign Assistance
    • International Assistance Working Group (IAWG)
  • Visas - compile materials for submission/processing
