Position description

As a Strategic Growth & Business Development Analyst, you will support the work of the Strategic Growth & Business Development department and serve as their professional staff liaison. This position will help coordinate and collect inputs from across the organization to allow our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to make decisions on the strategic growth of the Defense & Security (D&S) business unit. This position will also assist with the creation of written and visual materials for stakeholder meetings and panels. Along with providing daily administrative functions, this position will also support in researching and analyzing our business environments to support in the development of our pipeline of opportunities and annual Strategic Plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Analysis – Identifies, evaluates, and disseminates timely and thorough research and reports on relevant business insights and market environmental news to company stakeholders.

Executive Operations Support – Coordinates the collection of inputs and briefing development for Executive Leadership Team recurring reviews.

Strategic Projects – Assists with the development and execution of business development strategies, communications, and corporate advocacy campaigns.

Administration – Provides daily administrative functions to include organization of meeting minutes and action item assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Education – Bachelor’s degree in political science, policy, business, international relations, communications, or similar required. Postgraduate degrees in business, political science, policy, international relations, law, or similar are preferred.

Experience – professional with at least two (2) years (4+ years preferred) of exposure to an environment where they were able to build business acumen, a strong work ethic and have displayed excellent time management and people skills.

Expertise – Demonstrated an interest in the Aerospace & Defense industry.

Office Skills – Competency in using modern office functions and basic, professional information technology systems (including, but not limited to word processing, analytical, presentation, communications and database software) is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video conferencing solutions (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Skype, etc.)

Social Media – Knowledge of social media platforms and communications strategies preferred.

SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and video conferencing equipment.

  • Occasional domestic travel
