The Senior Project and Grants Manager (maternity cover) will play a critical role in implementing a USAID-funded and foundations grant aimed at ensuring increased humanitarian access worldwide. This position is responsible for overseeing effective grants management, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, managing budgets, coordinating project activities, and representing the organization to external audiences. The role involves close coordination with various teams and departments to support financial, logistical, and programmatic aspects of the project.

What you will bring:
This is a great position for those with a relevant master's degree in international relations or humanitarian affairs. A few years of project management experience in the humanitarian or development sector is required. The role will require regular follow-up with colleagues working in a matrix managed, cross departmental, global team setting. It will also require learning new systems and processes and developing workable solutions when they do not exist.
Note: this role is full-time and hybrid, based in the NRC USA office in Washington, DC. Though travel for this project is infrequent, the successful candidate must be able to travel internationally for up to two weeks at a time. The location of the travel may include volatile contexts in conflict settings. The position is for six months only.
