Position description
As an Events Assistant, you will be deeply involved in planning, organising, and delivering ZEP’s events portfolio. You will gain hands-on experience in project management, logistics, stakeholder engagement and communications, contributing to large-scale conferences and workshops central to Europe’s climate and energy policy discussions.
Your role will involve editorial content support, partnership coordination, and operational logistics while collaborating with colleagues across the other teams to ensure seamless integration of events within ZEP’s activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills in an international, mission-driven environment and gain valuable insight into EU policy, sustainability, and industrial innovation.
Responsibilities
- Programme Development: Research topics and stakeholders, draft session materials, and help design agendas reflecting Europe’s carbon management priorities;
- Speakers Coordination: Manage invitations, schedules, and support for speakers and guests;
- Operations & Logistics: Assist with venue research, service coordination, and on-site setup;
- Partnership Engagement: Maintain partner and participant communications, guest lists, and post-event summaries;
- Communications: Collaborate with the Communications team to promote events and enhance visibility across channels.
This position is a full-time and paid internship under the CIP traineeship programme.
Qualifications
- A university degree or equivalent (event management or EU affairs is an asset);
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus;
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail;
- A collaborative, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn;
- Experience organising, supporting or volunteering at events is appreciated but not mandatory;
- Genuine interest in climate, energy and/or EU policy is highly valued.
