International Scholar Laureate Program Field Staff 2017

The International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP)is a world-class program giving students hands-on opportunities to debate multilateral relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing, discuss bush medicine in Australia, or hydroelectricity with an engineer at the Three Gorges Dam. In our increasingly competitive world, these experiences give scholars the advantage they need for the careers that await them. 

With delegations on Business & Entrepreneurship, Engineering & Technology, International Relations & Diplomacy, Medicine & Science, and Nursing & Healthcare, the International Scholar Laureate Program takes students to exotic locations and gives them exceptional life and career experiences.

Skillsets needed: academic curiosity, nimble logistical dexterity, outstanding customer service, and an unparalleled commitment to empowering college students and beyond. 

Our field staff will be living and traveling with students. You can anticipate being "on call"/available 24/7. Contract dates vary, but this program runs in May and June. 



The Advisor is responsible for providing the best experience possible for all participants of the program through facilitation of educational curricula. Advisors help shape the experience for the students. The Advisor must be able to interact with and supervise students and to provide for their safety and well-being.  

In addition to implementing the curricula, the Advisor is responsible for working closely with the local guides to ensure the operational success of the program.  Responsibilities also include working closely with the in-country guides to communicate student needs and feedback.  The Advisor reports to the In-Country Director (Lead). 

In-Country Director (Lead) 

The In-Country Director assists in providing the best experience possible for all participants, family members, and vendors of the program. The In-Country Director must be able to interact in person, by phone, and via email with students and parents.  The In-Country Director will also need to work on administrative tasks, communicating with the vendor to work on program planning, implementation and follow-up.  The In-Country Director reports to the Program Coordinator.
