Position description

Consular section at the Embassy of Canada in Paris offers consular assistance to Canadians in France and Monaco for routine matters, such as notarial, passport and citizenship services, or in situations of distress, including hospitalization, death, arrest and child abduction. It also helps Canadians prepare themselves for safe travel abroad by providing travel information that is as timely and accurate as possible.

Under the direction of the Consul, supervise the passport and citizenship operations for the Embassy in Paris as well as for various Consulates in France and Monaco; study and evaluate passport and citizenship files to determine eligibility and ensure compliance with policies and regulations governing the process and the issuance of Canadian passports, citizenship documents and travel documents; supervise the urgent passport services provided at the Embassy and in the Honorary Consuls network; supervise passport / citizenship staff; oversee the Passport / Citizenship Cost Recovery Program; perform other duties.
