Position description

The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) speaks for American companies committed to Europe on trade, investment and competitiveness issues. It aims to ensure a growth-orientated business and investment climate in Europe.

AmCham EU is seeking a motivated self-starter to be responsible for planning and organising (online/hybrid) events, delegation visits, and outreach activities. Reporting to the Events and Marketing Manager, the position requires a team player with exceptional organisational and IT skills, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure.

Main Tasks:

  • Assists with communications related to (online/hybrid) events and outreach activities (in particular mailings and events registrations);
  • Supports all activities related to (online/hybrid) events management (including set-up in case of in-person/hybrid format);
  • Conducts research and follow-up on venues, transport, audio-visual equipment, and other suppliers as needed;
  • Works across teams and with members to coordinate all logistics related to (online/hybrid) events and outreach activities;
  • Assists with budget – follow up and fundraising.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
  • Proactive and ability to work on and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Schedule flexibility in supporting (online/hybrid) events (e.g. breakfasts, evening receptions);
  • Project management, problem-solving skills and stress resilient;
  • Strong communication, teamwork and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent IT skills;
  • Knowledge of CRM, mailing tools (eg. Groupmail) and online events platforms is a plus.

Languages: Fluent English and French. Dutch is a plus
Start date: January (preferably)
