IR Consultant (Project-based collaboration)

Position description

Greater Asia-Pacific is a fast-growing boutique consulting firm specializing in tactical geopolitical intelligence, sovereign policy analysis, and scenario forecasting. Our mission is to provide sharp, targeted advisory based on insider monitoring of policy environments and sovereign decision-making. We focus on the micro-level ramifications of great-power competition, dissecting the economic and policy shifts for micro-level actors navigating systemic turbulence.

As part of our expansion, we are growing our network of human assets – building a formidable intelligence and research team bridging policymaking and strategic advisory, pioneering HUMINT methodologies into the corporate sphere.

Opportunities for Contributors We are actively seeking experts of all seniority levels for project-based collaborations. We especially welcome professionals with experience in sovereign policymaking and strategic advisory. Our core areas of interest include:

• Great-power competition and its economic & security ramifications
• U.S.-China relations and policies toward geopolitical flashpoints
• Great game in Central Asia: Russia, China, United States

This collaboration is fully remote, with global engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

 

Ideal Candidates

• Insider Perspective/Positioning: Experience in sovereign policymaking, intelligence, or government advisory is highly valued.
• Global Affairs Expertise: Deep knowledge of contemporary geopolitical dynamics, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Strategic Networks: A well-established network within government agencies, think tanks, academia, or international organizations.
• High-Level Analysis & Forecasting: Ability to generate well-informed, forward-looking assessments based on complex geopolitical trends.​​

Selected applicants will be commissioned to produce a research project focused on insider-driven geopolitical analysis. Compensation is project-based and varies depending on expertise, seniority, and the strategic value of the produced work.
