The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.

Minimum salary for this position is $6,375. The University of Michigan-Flint invites applications for a part-time faculty position at the Lecturer I level for the period of August 25 through December 13, 2025. The position requires teaching multiple sections of 3-credit hour undergraduate course POL 120 US National Government and Politics. This course is an introductory US Politics course and covers US political institutions, constitutional rights, and political behavior.
Two of the available course sections are scheduled to be taught in the online asynchronous, fully online format. The instructor must have materials appropriate to teaching in this setting. The budget for this position is for the Fall 2025 term only.

Required Qualifications
Prospective candidates should minimally possess a master’s degree in political science. Graduate work must have been completed within an accredited program. Evidence of relevant teaching experience is required.
Desired Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in teaching political science at the undergraduate and at the secondary levels.
