Under direction of the Director of Administration and Finance and in collaboration with the Division of Human Resources, this position with be responsible for advising and supporting managers on human resource actions and international appointments across four divisions in the Department of Medicine; developing procedures for onboarding new staff and delivering training as a subject matter expert; works closely with all areas of HR, the business offices and faculty. Oversee visa application and renewal processes for these divisions. The position will help develop position specific onboarding and training programs with supervisors that strengthen introductory and annual reviews for new employees


A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, preferably in an academic setting. Strong experience in Human Resource management and international appointments is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently. Exceptional interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and collaborative skills; ability to influence and persuade up and down the organization, exercising confidentiality with professionalism poise, tact, diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and establish working relationships with senior leadership, faculty and staff. Close attention to detail. Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
