This role will promote CARE's work and brand in the media, secure coverage of CARE initiatives in U.S. news outlets and build relationships with journalists who keep the public informed about issues related to fighting poverty. At times, s(he) will act as a spokesperson for CARE. The position will be responsible for preparing CARE staff for media interviews, tracking CARE's media coverage and analyzing that coverage to generate future opportunities. S(he) will help develop, manage and/or execute communications strategies that support CARE's signature issues, advocacy priorities, and fundraising goals. The effective performance will safeguard CARE's reputation and lift the organization's brand.
